3 Hour Continuing Ed for MI Builder License

Get renewal requirements for your Michigan Builders License at the HBA! The State of Michigan mandates that all builders complete at least three hours of continuing competency every three years including: 

• 1 hour covering building codes and laws related to the licensed occupation 
• 1 hour covering safety 
• 1 hour covering changes in construction and business management laws 

This class consists of the following: 

8:30 – 9:00 am Registration 

9:00 – 10:00 am Law Update – presented by Aliya Patel, Herbert Machnik Law Firm

10:00 – 11:00 am Safety Update – presented by Jim Getting, CSP, PhD, MIOSHA Safety Training 

11:00 – 12:00 am Code Update – presented by Garrett Reitenour, Building Inspector

NOTE: This class will be held at Herbert Machnik Law Firm in the Raymond C. Becker Auditorium. Max capacity is 150. Registration deadlines is Friday, April 3rd at 12noon.
